A Certificate of Fitness (CoF) is a regular vehicle assessment to ensure heavy vehicles and light passenger vehicles are safe to drive on New Zealand’s roads.
All passenger service vehicles including taxis, Uber, shuttles and rental vehicles.
Most heavy vehicles with a gross vehicle mass weight of 3,500kg (or 3.5 tonnes) or more including trucks, trailers, buses and motor homes.
