With the weather conditions getting harsher during Winter, it’s important to have good visibility on the road.
You can improve your visibility on the road by making sure that your windscreens and wipers are in good condition.
Follow our handy wiper tips below and you’ll be all set.
Did you know that wiper blades can freeze and tear or crack during winter? To detect cracking, carefully run a finger over the scraping edge of the wiper blade. If they’re torn or cracked, they should be replaced.
Dirty, cracked, or torn wipers can cause streaking and decrease visibility. Clean your wiper blades with a lint-free cloth or paper towel soaked in windshield washer fluid.
Safeguard your wipers from sticking and tearing by pulling them off while your car is parked at night, before it freezes. You can also prevent freezing and reduce damage by placing a newspaper or light cloth across the windscreen that is secured down by the wiper.
